I fear I’m being a little too basic and too relevant right now. But with the current state of the world I think we can all agree, nothing is a given. Consistency is key is a term we’ve all heard but we’re does that fit in to an ever changing world?
In my eyes, COVID-19 is just the beginning of the changes our world will go through in the coming years. I don’t want to get political here but just by saying that, I think we all need to embrace the coming changes. If we don’t embrace it, we’re just going to live in constant fear of what comes next, and that is no way to live.
Consistency no longer means keeping your life at a constant but rather your mindset and ethics as a constant. You can be consistent in your work ethics even while moving cross country or even over the pond! The work you’re doing doesn’t define you, rather, it’s what you bring to your work. You can be in a whole new sector but keep your cherry customer service attitude. You’re consistent with who you are.
Change does not mean compromising who you are and what you’ve been striving for. Change means being flexible and strong enough to take whatever this world throws at you. Change is just another adventure waiting to happen.
Embrace the change. Appreciate where you are now. Take a moment to let it all sink in. Then let the world take you on your own journey. When you get to one of your many destinations take a look back and be grateful you to the journey. Be grateful for where you’ve been, where you are, and where you are heading.
